My name is Dave, and along with my dad, Willem, we own and operate Lentelus Farms. We are passionate about creating sustainable solutions for the agricultural industry. Along with my dad’s 35 years of organic agriculture experience, I bring a conservation science and business management background to the business from my time studying at UBC and running treeplanting crews in the wilds of BC for the better part of a decade. My mum is a brilliant cook and caregiver who has a contagious love of quality, fresh ingredients, and celebrating a good meal with family and friends, she has been the inspiration to us founding the farm.
After years of resisting my farming heritage and searching out other enviro-centric jobs, I acknowledged my growing desire to become part of a local community and contribute to BC's farming community. I now lease several farms from Ducks Unlimited in the Comox Valley and The Okanagan Fruit Tree project in Kelowna. We promote the sustainable consumption of meat, "eat less meat, but eat better meat" is a line you'll often hear from us. Our meat is of the highest quality, characterized by its delicious intramuscular marbling well not being overly fatty. Great meat, with a great conscience!
